This past weekend was so relaxing and I enjoyed every minute of it. I got to see friends that were in town for Thanksgiving, I was dog-sitting at my neighbors, hung out with the family, and went out last night for Jay's birthday in Little Italy. I honestly think I could eat Italian everyday and not get sick of it. I broke away from my typical veal parm and went for the classic rigatoni and meatballs. SO freaking good. Then they brought out gelato cake for my bro and of course I had to take a nibble! It was chocolate and pistachio flavored, absolutely heavenly.
And how cool is the Phil Collin's artwork?! That was at my neighbors where I was dog-sitting. Maryanne is an art director at American Greetings and so she knows an artist that paints drums and other musical instruments. Well her husband loves Phil Collin's so this was his birthday present. They have another picture of Phil and then have two drumsticks above it all. It just looks so cool. What's even cooler is that my mom is doing this for my brother as a going away present. Jay is a HUGE fan of Dave Matthews and he plays the guitar, so they're going to paint a guitar for my bro! I'm so excited to see it.
